I'm STUCK on YOU!

These are some 1930-1940's vintage stickers I just "happened upon" that had been tucked away in my Grandmother's and then my Mother's things!
Used most likely to place on the back of an envelope to make a "seal".

These 30 somethin' love held up pretty well, don't you think?
Kind of like the sweet couple I met last night, they had been married 66 years!!
I'm pretty sure that deserves a Nobel Prize...or Lottery winning...or
a huge Crown or something!Posted by Picasa

Vintage card-calendar! from Crafty Secrets and Michele Kovack!

I LOVED what Michele Kovack did with her calendar-cards! The vintage valentine's came from "Blue Bird" blog spot! I LOVE all of her examples she has.

Crafty Secrets had a FREE download for 2011 calendar.....sooooo...this is my version on Michele's, Crafty Secret and Blue Birds examples all rolled into one...or rather...two! Of note...I made the rosettes from some annoying junk mail, then sprayed with Glimmer mist from Tattered Angels (luv their stuff too!!) I love to recycle...just about anything!

There's no telling how old this jingle bell is...seems I've had it for ever! 'Bout time it had a place of its' own! ;)

More Vintage Photos!

Another attempt at colorizing 1920's black and white
after scanning in the original photo, of course!.
I loved being able to use the lace tatting from my Grandmother's stash. (after I washed and whitened them...of course!)
The three bottom buttons are probably 40's-50's edition. The top three are another story. Taken from the same tatting stash (and whitened, O.C.) the very top button I'm pretty sure is more 1920's, I had to put it on top!

Christmas snow LO, etc.

I REALLY love House of 3's Parisian Line, especially their letters! {sigh}

couldn't make up my mind which photo was better. Too light...too dark?

More Christmas LO

These are done using a combination of...."Webster Pages", Jennie Bolin and October Afternoon. With a few of Heidi Swapp's and House of Three! {I try to show no favoritism} ;)

Oh, ya.... also Tim Holtz' 12 days of tags, BG and My Mind's Eye Christmas line.
Posted by PicasaI really went crazy this year!!

She's got A T T I T U D E!

I had fun doing this layout. I "scrap lifted" it from one of the sketches on Jenny Bolin's inspiration blog! Molly {my subject} is not hard to photo...as long as you only want ONE look! She's 18 yrs old {which makes her...what?...140 in people years} She can't hear, sleeps all the time and her look? Always the same..." Go A Way!" ;')

and now a little break from Angel as she...ah hem...checks out the fringe on my lamp!

Believe...my 2010 "one word"

This was the LO I did to give myself a visual reminder of the word I chose for 2010. (with the help of my husb. granddaughter!) Most of the paper is from My Mind's Eye! (love their paper!)

I was trying new flower techniques. The black and white paper one (Basic Gray) was made from 1" circles punched out then glued together.

This is using a mixture of papers. The Helen Keller quote was a freebie form "Homegrown hospitality?" I think I have to look that one up.

I had way too much fun making these accordian-type Florette's (?). anyways, it was a good base for my snowflake. I also "burned thru" my "glossy accents" this winter! But it makes the little banners "sooo pretty"!

Using JB paper and technique

These buttons are from my Mother's stash that she saved from the 50's. This was also, one of my first (and not so good) attempts at "colorizing" the photos (hense the yellow hair and shirt of my brother and my Mom's hair looks red--not an acurate portrayal of color)

But...ya get the picture! (ha)

All in the Family

Here's another LO that I did a couple of years ago.
the original templet is from Jessica Sprague's class that she taught in Atlanta, with a little...ah hem...embelishment from me.
The ribon and buckle is an actual dual from my Grandmother Robshaws era, 60 years ago now.
{yes, that WAS before my time}

This is how I remember you (both)

{forgive the spelling error...I'm editing the LO right now!}

Happy Birthday Dad! (01/19/1921 - 12/02/2000)

You would have been 90 years old today. Yikes!

We all miss you, terribly! It's been 10 years. I'm not sure things are any easier, maybe...just...different.
All I know is...
in an instant...
a moment
rememberd...

I can still cry like it was only yesterday.

I AM happy you have no more tears.
Some day...

We won't either.

HANDSOME!

"Ah...yes! You noticed."

Your sister... Your brother...

The world became a better place; the day you were born. Ninety years ago.
Sure do miss you Dad. A lot
See ya...
