Mt. Laurel, one of my favorite bushes. These were taken in South Carolina at a Mountain Park.
Was pleasantly surprised to come upon three baby eagles...eaglets?

Couldn't help showing off some of the flowers I planted at Mom's other house, getting it ready for "Curb Appeal"! (last summer '08)

April 15th, 2009 we had the "Boston Tea Party" held here in Atlanta and covered by Fox News (as well as many locals). There were hundreds of people there of all ages from little babies to Senior Citizens. Look at their faces, all seemed to share a strong intent to make a difference, to make themselves heard! All share a commonality of making a personal statement that all these Gov. bail out programs were "insane...very unwise....placing our grandchildren with the tremendous burden of debt!" Perhaps for generations to come. These "Boston Tea Parties" were held all over the U.S. Mostly on the East Coast and Texas. Good show! Everyone! (Top right is our neighbor Jerry Svec! eagle and flag jacket)

Along with new spring grass for Mattie to eat and then "barf", April brought yet another fall and another broken bone for Mom. This time, it was her hip and the only way to correct this broken bone was to replace it with a mechanical one! So, on Good Friday of this year, Mom had her right hip replaced, April 10th at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. The following day, April 11th, her 85th birthday we celbrated with a cake and flowers and...a shiny new hip.

This is Mom at the Rehab. center where she spent the next 10 days.
